<p>If you are using <a href="wsgGloss.htm#MSDE" class="glossterm">MSDE</a>, you can change the password for your <a href="wsgGloss.htm#collaborationdatabase" class="glossterm"> collaboration
database</a> from the <b>Reset MSDE Password</b> page. If you are using
Microsoft <a href="wsgGloss.htm#SQLserver" class="glossterm">SQL Server</a>, you must use the SQL Server database administration tools
to change the database password.</p>

<LI>On the <b>Server</b> <b>Administration</b> page, click <b>Reset MSDE
Database password</b>.
<p><B>Note </B>If <a href="wsgGloss.htm#SQLserver" class="glossterm">SQL
Server</a> was already installed on your server computer when you installed
Microsoft SharePoint, you may not see this option.</LI>
<LI>In the <b>New password</b> box, type your new password.</LI>
<LI>In the <b>Confirm new password</b> box, type the new password again.</LI>
<LI>Click <b>Submit</b>.</LI>
